When making our storyboards, we made sure that we included our significant props. This includes the knife and cellphone, which we did a dedicated close up on. Another thing that we included was Caroline’s bruises on her hand from abuse from her dad. While the bruises aren’t necessarily props, the makeup that we utilize to create the bruises are. We made sure that the bruises shown in one of our scenes on our storyboard, yet we didn’t film them in a closeup because we didn’t want it to be too direct. Instead, the bruises are seen subtly on the bottom of the screen. We didn’t make any last minute changes, as we envisioned everything while we made our script and plot outline. We researched the use of props in film prior to making the script and storyboard to ensure that they were both useful to the plot and not too direct.
